The ABC’s Managing Director of Corporate Communications, Tim Buckley, has said the ABC needs to look at its culture of engagement and engagement needs.
“The ABC needs a strong, consistent and consistent culture,” Mr Buckley told the ABC’s Breakfast program.
“It needs to be a place where you can sit back, have a coffee, have an informal chat, and say, ‘Oh, this is how it is here in the ABC’.” “We need to recognise the impact that engagement has on the audience and the audience needs to understand that they have the power to decide what’s happening at the ABC.”
Mr Buckley said there were some lessons learned from the ABC being a leader in the digital space, which he said the organisation could learn from.
“It’s a place that we can be a leader.
The ABC is expected to announce a new managing director later this month.”
