Chipotle announced that it will not accept any more of the central ethical issues that have been the focus of the company’s internal ethics investigations.
The company announced the decision in a blog post Friday.
“As a result, we have decided not to engage in the process that has brought this matter to our attention,” Chipotle wrote.
The decision comes amid an ongoing federal investigation into whether the company engaged in unethical practices in its handling of the food and beverage industry’s most lucrative and controversial industry, with allegations of sexual harassment, discrimination, and other abuse against female employees.
Last month, a former employee told a federal judge that Chipotle had pressured her to have sex with a male colleague, and she was fired in retaliation.
